Belum dapat sorotan dari PSSI untuk dinaturalisasi buat Timnas Indonesia, wonderkid keturunan Surabaya di Eropa ini justru sukses catatkan statistik gol yang memukau. Adalah Julian Oerip, pemain yang masih berusia 17 tahun tersebut berhasil naik kelas dan tampil buat tim AZ Alkmaar U21. Sebagai informasi, tim AZ Alkmaar U21 merupakan tim satelit dari AZ Alkmaar yang musim ini tampil di kasta teratas Liga Belanda.
Bersama AZ Alkmaar U21, tercatat Julian Oerip mampu tampil dalam dua pertandingan beruntun di dua pekan awal Keuken Kampioen Divisie atau kasta kedua Liga Belanda musim ini.
Sebelum naik kelas ke level U-21, nama Julian Oerip sudah lebih dulu bersinar saat memperkuat tim U-18 serta U-19.
Musim lalu misalnya, Julian Oerip berhasil mencetak 13 gol serta memberikan 4 assists dari total 34 pertandingan buat AZ U18.
Secara keseluruhan, pemain berposisi gelandang ini mampu torehkan 12 gol serta tiga assists dari total 38 pertandingan di Liga Belanda U-18. Berkat penampilan impresif tersebut, tak heran jika Julian Oerip dipercaya mengemban jabatan kapten musim lalu. Selain itu, dirinya pun rutin jadi pilihan skuad Belanda junior dan sempat bermain dalam 8 pertandingan buat Timnas Belanda U18 sepanjang tahun 2023 kemarin. Dengan kualitas tersebut, PSSI sepertinya wajib melirik bakat Julian Oerip untuk memperkuat Timnas Indonesia.
Sebagai informasi, Julian Oerip merupakan pemain keturunan Indonesia yang punya darah Jawa dari sang Ayah.
Melansir dari keterangan footballtalentnesia, diketahui bahwa Kakek dan Nenek Julian Oerip berasal dari Surabaya. Dengan usia yang masih muda dan statistik mentereng di Eropa tersebut, kehadiran Julian Oerip diprediksi bisa membantu Timnas Indonesia untuk arungi Kualifikasi Piala Asia U-20 nanti.
Timnas Indonesia U-20 sendiri memang sempat diperkuat beberapa pemain diaspora. Bahkan saat menjuarai Piala AFF U-19 beberapa waktu lalu, skuad Garuda Muda memanggil Jens Raven yang main di Belanda serta Welber Jardim dari Liga Brasil. Timnas Indonesia U-20 yang bakal tampil pada babak Kualifikasi Piala Asia U-20 nanti, akan tergabung di Grup dan akan menghadapi Yaman, Timor Leste, Maladewa. Pertandingan perdana Garuda Muda di ajang ini berlangsung pada 25 September 2024 dengan menghadapi Maladewa.
